Sally Durant founded The International Institute of Skin Health and Clinical Aesthetics (IISHCA) in 2014. Its purpose it to recognise, and represent, excellence in clinical and education provision for the aesthetic skin care sector.
IISHCA provides a formal education body which will work to ensure the highest of standard in professional training and compliance by practitioners in following with the national guidelines set out by the governments advisory board Health Education England ( HEE).
All beauty therapists and aesthetic practitioners need to actively and continuously update and extend their knowledge and skills in our fast developing industry to remain safe, effective and competitive in delivering advanced skin treatments. A priority of IISHCA is therefore to endorse quality training and recognise those therapists and aesthetic practitioners who proactively maintain their CPD in order to ensure best practice and a reputation for excellence.
In line with the recommendation of Health Education England, the requirement for accredited qualifications has become an urgent issue to ensure that all therapists and medical practitioners work safely and effectively.
In 2009, having recognised the lack of targeted advanced training and the industry’s dependence on supplier driven courses, Sally Durant began developing her portfolio of Level 4 qualifications pioneering a post graduate education and training provision for the aesthetic skin care industry. These courses are brought to you with her passion and commitment for creating recognised standards in education and training to ensure the best clinical practice for safe and effective client treatment backed by a superior level of underpinning knowledge and understanding.
Our Awarding Body
Our Level 4 qualifications are accredited by Industry Qualifications or !Q. which is an awarding body recognised by the national qualification regulators Ofqual.
When selecting who would accredit her qualifications, Sally was keen to work with an awarding body that was well established but also innovative and dynamic, reflecting her own philosophies and ideals towards improving standards and developing specialist provision that would be globally recognised.
IQ is approved by the qualification regulators in the UK. OFQUAL and is designed to provide a new type of validating environment, with a philosophy based upon quality, partnership and transparency.
