Managing Director, CIDESCO, CIBTAC, Cert Ed
With 34 years’ experience in aesthetics and the management of skin health, together with a commitment to establish recognised standards of training and practice, Sally Durant specialises in the development of advanced training programmes for all skin care therapists and clinical practitioners. She has combined her extensive knowledge of skin science, cosmetic dermatology and remedial skin treatment with 20 years experience in formal education and training to develop a series of first to market Level 4 qualifications and CPD short courses. These have been designed to satisfy the needs of the industry and government recommendations for formally accredited qualifications and endorsed educational programmes, for which she has received national award recognition.
Sally has a wide portfolio of high profile corporate clients from the beauty therapy and aesthetic sectors providing bespoke training and consultancy services. Such clients include L’Oreal Uk and International, SkinCeuticals, for whom she was the appointed national training manager for 5 years, sk:n clinics, Nouveau Beauty , SAKS Hair and Beauty, Aesthetic Source, Medik8, Innomed Training and Chromogenex. In the formal education sector Sally is engaged by The London College of Fashion to teach on their Advanced Aesthetic Therapist course, she is a former CIBTAC and CIDESCO international examiner and served for two years on the CIBTAC Education Team.
Sally was recently honoured to become a member of the advisory panel for the Safety In Beauty Campaign and was the proud recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry in June 2017.
Educational Director, BA(Hons), PGCE
In June 2012 Sally appointed Sue Shaw as her Training Development Manager and she is now the company Education Director.
Sue is recognised in the sector for her work in education and in the commercial Clinical Aesthetics arena. She now uses her extensive experience of Further Education Colleges, University higher education provision and awarding bodies, to lead the curriculum development and accreditation processes for the Level 4 course programs and to support the growing number of partners, both in the UK and abroad, who are offering the Sally Durant courses.
Sue is dedicated and highly committed to the student experience and to continuing Sally's vision of building the standards, breadth of knowledge and treatment opportunities that are pertinent for all practitioners operating in the clinical aesthetic market of today. Sue liaises with leading sector experts and government officials to ensure that the Sally Durant portfolio of courses are developed in accordance with government and Health Education England’s recommendations.
Sue provides training delivery in the key areas of blemish removal using advanced electrolysis techniques, chemical skin peeling and micro-needling. She has worked with a number of key corporate clients including Medik8, is the designated product & protocols trainer for Exuviance and leads the post-graduate education provision for Saks Beauty.
Heather Maurice Brook
Marketing Manager/Course Tutor, BA (Hons)
Heather joined us in late 2016. She gained a degree in Communication Processes in 1992 and worked in marketing and design for over ten years. Since retraining in 2006, she has worked as a Medical Aesthetician.
As well as working with us, Heather is also Senior Aesthetician at a highly reputable Sheffield clinic. She has worked for several national clinic chains and leading independent clinics gaining a wealth of experience in the aesthetic sector.
Heather has trained and worked with some of the industry's premier aesthetic and cosmeceutical brands. In particular, she has a passion for laser, IPL and advanced skin treatments. She is also a qualified Assessor and Trainer and has worked as a tutor for White Rose School Of Health & Beauty.
As Marketing Manager, Heather is responsible for our social media, blog and advertising.
Our Training Manager, Caroline has been at the hub of our Hagley Training Centre since January 2015.
Prior to joining us she worked as a PA for several London based companies and for Birmingham’s Central Television for six years, before focusing on motherhood.
Caroline is the first point of contact for all our delegates, guiding them through their course selection and enrolment process and through their further learning journey.
Caroline ensures the smooth running of our office and training centre and expertly oversees the co-ordination of all our courses and workshops.
